A series of experiments on self-producted Bioplastic from potatoes and potato starch based on different environmental conditions.
Biodegradable plastics are plastics that are decomposed by the action of living organisms, usually bacteria. Bioplastic is a subcategory of biodegradable plastics made from renewable biomass sources - among these potato starch. Even if the environmental impact of Bioplastic is still often debated and not completely defined, its production and usage are considered as a more sustainable activity if compared with normal plastic made out of petroleum. One of the main aspects of Bioplastics is for sure its fast degradation.
